Download & install Prompteam for macOS
The desktop app lets you use your Prompteam library — prompts, skills, and brand voice — inside any app on your Mac. Download it below, install it, sign in, then grant one permission so it can insert and improve text where you work.
Install
Opening it the first time
Prompteam is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so it opens straight away on first launch — no right-click or Gatekeeper workaround needed.
Permissions on first run
The first time you run Prompteam, macOS asks for two permissions:
- Accessibility — needed for the overlay, so Prompteam can appear over other apps and insert or improve text where you're working.
- Keychain access — lets Prompteam store your keys and credentials securely in the macOS Keychain. Click Allow when prompted.
You can grant Accessibility from the prompt, or turn it on ahead of time:
Until you grant Accessibility, Prompteam still opens and your library is available — the overlay just can't insert or improve text in other apps.
Using it
Bring up the Prompteam overlay in any app — from the menu bar or its keyboard shortcut — choose an action (insert a prompt or skill, or improve the text you've selected), and it's applied in place. You can set and rebind the shortcut in the app's settings.
Requirements
- Any Apple Silicon Mac — M-series or A-series (Neo), 2020 or later. Intel Macs aren't supported
- macOS 12 Monterey or later
- A free Prompteam account
